TOWN OF TYRONE

About the DDA

A Downtown Authority Built for Tyrone's Future

The Downtown Development Authority of Tyrone, Georgia was activated by the Mayor and Council on February 3, 2022, created specifically to support the revitalization and growth of Tyrone's Central Business District. We're here to help downtown thrive.

In 2026, the DDA took a major step forward, launching its own identity, building its strategic plan, and establishing itself as a distinct organization focused entirely on making downtown Tyrone the best it can be.

The Tyrone Downtown Development Authority meets at 9:00am on the second Monday of each month at Tyrone Town Hall, 950 Senoia Road, Tyrone, GA 30290 in the Council Chambers. All meetings are public and citizens are encouraged to attend.

A Small Town That Feels Like Home

Tyrone is a small town in Fayette County, Georgia about 30 minutes south of Atlanta and a world away from the city. With a population of around 8,100 and one of the highest median household incomes in the state, it's a community that values quality of life, local character, and taking care of its own.

The Town is home to Shamrock Park, the Town Hall clock tower, and a growing downtown corridor along Senoia Road. It's the kind of place where neighbors still wave at each other, where people show up for local events, and where there's genuine pride in what's being built here.

And with Trilith Studios just 10 minutes away and major regional investment coming to Fayette County, Tyrone is positioned for something special, without losing what makes it Tyrone.
